GOLF+ adds to its ever-growing catalog of real-world courses with Bellerive, the site of this year’s BMW Championship.
The Bellerive course first opened in 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri with course designer Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s mission statement of a difficult par, an easy bogey.
The near-merciless course, with tree and bunker-lined fairways, rolling putting surfaces, and a winding creek that touches nine different holes, earned the nickname the Green Monster of Ladue before hosting the US Open in 1965. This was the first Open championship played over four days and broadcast in color on television.

Since then, Bellerive has played host to the PGA Championship in 1992 and 2018. Next week, Bellerive hosts the second stop of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the BMW Championship, starting on August 20.

GOLF+ is out now on Quest for $29.99 and comes with three original courses. It is also available as part of Meta’s Horizon+ subscription service. It can be wishlisted on Steam now ahead of its upcoming release on that platform.
