Voxel Playground launches on Steam today, following a major update to the original Quest release earlier this month.

The physics-driven sandbox Voxel Playground is now available on Steam for the first time. The new release includes all the content that was recently added to the Quest version of the game, including an all-new Bank Heist Map, community mod support, overhauled gore and destruction, seven sandbox maps, and survival mode.

The new Bank map features a full heist sandbox; a bank, a vault, and plenty of ways to pull off the perfect heist. The Bank map joins previously released maps like Prison, Night Club, Construction Site, and Bloodmoon.

Voxel Playground is a physics sandbox playable in VR (it’s also playable on flatscreen) in which every in-game object is built from tiny, destroyable voxels. Players build, fight, play, and experiment with chaotic weapons and mods across an ever-expanding collection of sandbox maps.

Voxel Playground is in Early Access, and according to the game’s developer, a multiplayer update is planned for the game’s “Christmas update” this year.

Voxel Playground released in Early Access on Quest at the very end of 2025, and holds a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating based on nearly 5,000 user ratings. The game is now available on PC VR via Steam.
