Good Morning [Employee Name] VR is an upcoming psychological job sim set in an unsettling office space.

Shababeek Labs, a small game studio based in Abu Dhabi, recently announced their upcoming VR game Good Morning [Employee Name] VR. The announcement comes alongside a trailer, which scratches the Severance itch that we’ve all been unable to scratch since season 2 of Apple’s breakout series wrapped.

We’ve embedded the trailer below.

Ahmad Abdallah, Shababeek Labs’ founder, explained the game’s premise in a bit more detail.

“Good Morning [Employee Name] VR is a seated VR narrative game [in which] you play as a new hire at Consolidated Dynamics, a 1960s company in a world where technology developed differently,” they explain. “Over your working days you rotate through desk stations guided by handlers on the phone and a PA system that has a training film for everything. It’s a slow-burn psychological mystery, rather than horror.”

The entire game can be played seated, no locomotion is required, and it has a runtime of four to six hours. The story takes place over the first twelve days of your employment at Consolidated Dynamics, where everything seems nominally fine, if not a little strange and somehow unsettling.

The developers of Good Morning [Employee Name] VR are targeting release toward the end of 2026 on Quest and PC VR via Steam, where it can be wishlisted now.
