Cozy hand-tracked mixed reality farming simulator Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life was announced at Meta Connect today for Meta VR Glasses and Quest 3.

Cozy life-simulation gamers have been vastly underserved in VR, with only a handful of games like Garden of the Sea and Medieval Dynasty: New Settlement available to scratch that itch and the latter title features a healthy dose of combat. Meanwhile, games like Stardew Valley, The Sims, and recently Nintendo’s Pokopia have collectively sold tens of millions of units across their respective platforms.
In other words, it is a largely untapped market that can serve to make VR/MR more appealing to a wider audience that remains uninterested in combat or chasing leaderboards. Story of Seasons aims to help fill in that gap. The game is single-player only and is said to be launching with fifty hours of content.
In Story of Seasons, you will tend to your fields, care for your animals including cow-milking and sheep-shearing minigames, harvest crops, and head into town to fill requests and get to know your local residents. As shown in the trailer, you can also meet a partner and start a family.
