Bootstrap Island Out Today On PlayStation VR2

After successful Early Access and 1.0 releases on SteamVR, survival adventure Bootstrap Island makes the jump to PlayStation VR2 today.

Bootstrap Island follows the lone survivor of a shipwreck in a roguelike gameplay loop of scavenging for goods during the day and surviving the attacks of a variety of creatures overnight.

The PlayStation VR2 edition leverages the hardware’s best features with eye-tracked foveated rendering, adaptive triggers, Sense controller haptics, and headset feedback. This version also includes every post-release content update the PC VR version received.

We’ve followed Bootstrap Island’s journey from a promising, but limited Early Access release through multiple content updates before the excellent full release earlier this year. In my review of the full release, I said it “lives up to its early promise with a highly engaging, immersive, and at times disturbing adventure that stands as one of VR’s best survival titles.”
